With my favorite holiday right around the corner, I’ve been doing some serious planning to make it the best ones yet. From costumes, to decoration, to food and drink, I don’t think I could ever get enough Halloween. Just wanted to share a few tips and ideas I love to help make it even more enjoyable.
- Find some friends! The best part of Halloween is being out with friends and sharing your crazy costumes.
- Plan a route to take. Your mission is to get the most candy you can out of tonight and you can’t do that with some half-baked plan. You have to go all in to this! But in all seriousness, having a planned route is a good option for staying in safe neighborhoods and not getting lost.
- If over 21, I would suggest maybe bring a few drinks along with you and enjoy trick-or-treating just as much as the little ones. Just make sure to limit yourselves to a few 🙂 For what I consider more adult friendly ideas for Halloween, you can find some really unique immersive beverages to make at http://www.hgtv.com/design/make-and-celebrate/entertaining/23-to-die-for-halloween-cocktails-pictures. Though mostly alcoholic, there are a few kid friendly versions.
And of course I want to remind everyone to stay safe this Halloween. As much as it’s a fun holiday, there’s also an increase in dangers for everyone. I encourage everyone to be wary of drunk driving, as it makes Halloween the third deadliest day of the year for pedestrians. Under no circumstances is it justified to get behind the wheel buzzed. Be sure to know where you’re staying if you plan on drink Halloween evening. I also want to remind parents to search all Halloween candy prior to consumption. As far fetched as it may seem, you’re taking candy from strangers, and your thorough search could be what keeps your children safe. Make sure to have a blast this Halloween!
